The aim of the performed analysis was to reveal correlations taking place between changes In economic structure resulting from implementation of a definite development strategy in the years 1970-1980 and changes in employment structure. Accordingly there were analyzed directions of changes in trisectorial employment structure i.e. in agriculture and forestry, industry and construction, and in services. The article describe main factors exerting an Influence on these changes as well as their consequences for further socio-economic development of the country. On the final part of the article, the authoress has drawn conclusions concerning directions and rate of further transfer of manpower between sectors on the basis of measures to be adopted by the economic policy in the next few years and changing demographic determinants.
