Jan Paweł II – wielki Polak, ważny składnik polskiej tożsamości narodowej i najbardziej rozpoznawalny symbol Polski za granicą, nie zagościł jeszcze na stałe w glottodydaktyce polonistycznej. W artykule znajdują się propozycje uniwersalnych, możliwych do wprowadzenia w każdej grupie studenckiej, niezależnie od przynależności religijnej uczących się, form prezentacji na lekcjach jpjo sylwetki papieża. Zostały w nich wykorzystane następujące gatunki tekstów: biogram (tekst adaptowany) i teksty autentyczne: nagłówki prasowe, złote myśli Jana Pawła II, anegdoty o nim.

John Paul II, although Film screening, discussing it, summarizing the plot, and analyzing the problems presented in the screenplay can be important elements of teaching language and culture to foreigners. It is necessary to show films by the directors who guarantee high artistic level. Krzysztof Kieślowski surely is such a director. His films are considered cult films in Poland and abroad. Reading of his screenplays can be an additional element of a class based on a film screenings. During such a lesson, we can put cultural education together with teaching the language. considered a great Pole, as well as a very important component of Polish national identity and the most recognizable symbol of Poland abroad, has not yet been addressed in Polish glottodidactics. In this article, some universal forms of JP II’s profile presentation are described. These forms are applicable in every Polish as a foreign language teaching context, regardless of students’ nationality or their religious affiliation. The teaching techniques presented are based on following text genres: a biographical note (an adapted text), selected headings of press articles published the day after JP II’s death, anecdotes about JP II, and several JP II’s golden thoughts (authentic texts).
