Oczywiste jest to, że przedsiębiorstwa są odpowiedzialne za realizację celów zrównoważonego rozwoju. Z tego powodu podejmują różne działania, w tym w zakresie ochrony środowiska, by te cele osiągnąć. Ocena tych działań wymaga stosowania różnych narzędzi. Narzędzia takie oferuje m.in. rachunkowość zarządcza, zwłaszcza ta ukierunkowana na ochronę środowiska. Stąd celem artykułu jest przedstawienie istoty rachunkowości zarządczej i problemów z jej ekologicznym ukierunkowaniem oraz wskazanie możliwości wykorzystania jej narzędzi w działalności ekologicznej przedsiębiorstw i pomiarze osiągniętych efektów.

As it is known, businesses are responsible for achieving the objectives of sustainable development. For this purpose they undertake various activities, including those associated with environmental conservation. Evaluation of these activities requires the use of different tools. Such tools are offered by management accounting, especially in areas relating to the protection of the natural environment. The paper, therefore, aims to present the essence of management accounting, discuss problems related to its environmental orientation and indicate the possible applications of these tools in environmental activities of companies and in measuring the achieved effects.
