PL

Dystrofie mięśniowe są to choroby uwarunkowane genetycznie, zwykle postępujące i powodujące niepełnosprawność ruchową znacznego stopnia. Różnią się one między sobą obrazem klinicznym i sposobem dziedziczenia. W procesie leczenia stosuje się głównie fizjoterapię oraz farmakoterapię. W artykule skupiono się w znacznej mierze na równie istotnym wspomaganiu psychospołecznego rozwoju dzieci chorych na dystrofię. Szczególną uwagę należy zwrócić na wspomaganie rozwoju w obszarze motoryki, funkcjonowania emocjonalno-społecznego oraz rozwoju osobowości.

Muscular dystrophies are genetically determined diseases, usually progressive and causing significant mobility disability. They differ in clinical picture and inheritance. Physiotherapy and pharmacotherapy are mainly used in the treatment process. The article emphasizes the importance of support for psychosocial development of children with dystrophy. Particular attention should be paid to supporting development in the areas of motor skills, emotional and social functioning, and personality development.
