Elements of cultural heritage, discovered and analyzed during archaeological excavations, have always been an important attraction for tourists. We can even name this phenomenon as an archaeological tourism or archaeotourism, identified as a part of cultural tourism. In Poland, the domain is still insufficiently developed, including cities associated with the earliest episodes of the history of Polish lands. In this paper authors will make an attempt to review the present state of archaeological tourism in Poznań and later to determine, whether this type of tourism has any potential for further development.
