The article presents an inventory made in 1661 by Father Andrzej Więckowic, who took over as parish priest of the church of St. Nicholas the Bishop in Grudziądz after the previous one resigned. In addition, the article includes the information on donations and grants made by the faithful to this church between 1661 and 1682. The introduction outlines the parish register containing the source presented in this study. The article discusses the creator of the source, as well as the history of the establishment of the church and parish area. The next section outlines the history of religious conflicts occurring between the Roman Catholic parish community and the nascent Protestant community from 1524 until 1659, when the town was recaptured from Swedish hands. During this period, the church of St. Nicholas the Bishop was affected by natural disasters, pestilence, was twice taken over by Protestants and twice plundered by troops. The source presented here illustrates the extent of the church’s inventory losses and the initial stage of its reconstruction by the parishioners’ efforts.
