W artykule zaprezentowana została część badań przeprowadzonych na obszarze Podhala dotyczących współczesnych wzorów męskości. Obowiązujące w danej społeczności wzory kulturowe są związane z wartościami ważnymi dla jej członków. Kluczową zaś wartością, mającą wyraźne przełożenie na funkcjonujący na Podhalu wzór kulturowy, a tym samym determinującą postawy i zachowania mieszkańców, jest rodzina. Istotnym aspektem badań była przytoczona analiza współczesnej rodziny podhalańskiej i relacji między jej członkami.

The article is presenting part of my research on patterns of masculinity. I have analyzed the transformations taking place in the surrounding world which have an impact on the attitudes and patterns of behaviour, checking which of them have the strongest influence on the deconstruction of the cultural model of masculinity. My study therefore shows the male models that are currently being implemented in Podhale and the factors that shape them. Patterns of masculinity are very closely linked with the values prevailing in the region. The most powerful factors shaping attitudes in Podhale, are: family, religion and locality, so, an important aspect of the study was quoted analysis of the modern family Podhale and prevailing agreements between its members.
