Polska w ramach przygotowań do Euro 2012 zobowiązana jest do zaplanowania i zrealizowania różnego rodzaju przedsięwzięć, które są konieczne do organizacji i prawidłowego przebiegu turnieju finałowego. W celu realizacji zobowiązań wynikających z gwarancji przedłożonych UEFA Rząd Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej powołał w lutym 2008 roku Komitet Organizacyjny Mistrzostw Europy w Piłce Nożnej Euro 2012, natomiast w maju 2010 roku – Komitet ds. Bezpieczeństwa Mistrzostw Europy w Piłce Nożnej UEFA Euro 2012, który przyjął Zintegrowaną Koncepcję Bezpieczeństwa UEFA Euro 2012. Jest to dokument opisujący koncepcję, plany, mechanizmy konsultacji i kontroli, a także strukturę podejmowania ważnych decyzji. Autor szczegółowo omawia piętnaście obszarów tematycznych składających się na Program Bezpieczeństwa UEFA Euro 2012 na podstawie Ustawy z dnia 20 marca 2009 r. o bezpieczeństwie imprez masowych, zmieniającej Ustawę z 1997 roku oraz jej rozporządzeń wykonawczych.

As a part of the preparations for the Euro 2012, Poland is obliged to plan and carry out various undertakings which are necessary for the organisation and the proper course of the final tournament. In order to meet the obligations arising from the guarantees presented to the UEFA, the Government of the Republic of Poland appointed in February 2008 Organisational Committee for European Championships EURO 2012, and in May 2010 – Committee for Security of European Championships EURO 2012, which accepted the UEFA Integrated Safety and Security Concept EURO 2012. It is a document describing the concept, the plans, the mechanisms of consultation and control, and the structure of making important decisions. The author discusses in detail fifteen thematic areas constituting the UEFA Euro 2012 Security Programme based on the Act from 30 March 2009 on the security of mass events, changing the Act from 1997 and its executive orders
