Artykuł przedstawia status prawny Federalnej Służby Ochrony Federacji Rosyjskiej, instytucji zapewniającej ochronę najwyższym przedstawicielom władz rosyjskich, zabezpieczającym łączność rządową oraz bezpieczeństwo zagranicznych delegacji państwowych przebywających na terytorium Federacji. Autor przedstawia poprzedników FSO, poddaje analizie uregulowania prawne regulujące funkcjonowanie służby ochrony oraz jej kompetencje. Przedstawiona została także struktura organizacyjna tej jednej z najbardziej tajemniczych służb specjalnych Rosji. Artykuł pozwala na wstępną analizę porównawczą FSO ze służbami ochronnymi innych państw.

This article presents the law status of the Federal Guard (FSO) of the Russian Federation. This institution assures protection for the highest representatives of Russian Authorities and guarantees government communication and safety for official delegations from other countries staying on the territory of Russian Federation. Author describes predecessors of FSO, analyses laws regulating functioning of the Federal Guard and its competences. There is also presented the organizational structure one of that most mysterious special services in Russia. Author enables readers to do comparative analysis of the FSO, according to other countries’ security guards.
