Musical amateur movement in Silesia has long and rich traditions, reaching the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries – apart from choral groups along with industry development, brass bands were taking activity. In order to specify number, organizational status, age structure, artistic condition, repertoire of the associated in Silesian Department of Polish Union of Choirs and Brass Band Orchestra, there was polled public opinion.
