Autor w artykule omawia metody rozwiązywania problemów kryminalnych, których istotą jest tzw. community policing, czyli wykorzystanie środków społecznych do zmiany warunków stanowiących podłoże działań przestępczych. Autor przybliża główne cechy konstytutywne nierozerwalnie związane z community policing oraz różne metody jej zastosowania na świecie, m.in. CAPS, SARA, CAPRA i PROCTOR. Warto podkreślić, że opisane rozwiązania są proste i ich skuteczność została potwierdzona w wielu krajach.

In the article, the author presents methods of solving criminal problems based on the community policing, which means using social means to change the conditions leading to the criminal activity. The author presents the core features of the community policing as well as various methods of implementing this method worldwide, such as CAPS, SARA, CAPRA and PROCTOR. It is worth to mention that the solutions described are simple and their effectiveness has been proven in numerous countries.
