The article presents a multiperspective analysis of a Gothic crucifix, extraordinary in size, coming from the first quarter of the fifteenth century, which was probably made before the great war with the Teutonic order in the years 1409–1411. The discussed work of art is a part of the three figure “small” Group of Passion. The figure of the Crucified is distinguished by its larger proportions, and, above all, the stylistics different from the accompanying gothic figures of Our Lady of Sorrows and saint John the Evangelist. Originally, the crucifix was most likely on the rood beam of the large Gothic Holy Trinity Church, erected from the second half of the thirteenth century and in the fourteenth century. It functioned as the cathedral for the Chełmno bishopric until 1824.
