Prekmurje – separation from Hungary and connection to Slovenia (1919‑1920)The issue of the presented article is a continuation of the author’s reflections concerning Central Europe in recent history. The main attention in this article was focused on a small, in terms of area and population, the historical‑geographical region, which is Prekmurje. Till World War I.it belonged to two western Hungarian administrative units of Vas and Zala, and together with the adjoining Porabje were called Vendvidek. Despite this fact the Slavic population of Prekmurje did not succumb to the Hungarian influences, which was the result of persisting in Prekmurje and neighboring lands of the cult of Saints Cyril and Methodius. A.great importance in preserving the identification of the Slovenian population of Prekmurje was the role which played the Slovenian population in the security system called „Gyepű” and „Őrseg” (guard). Citations from publications of Hungarian authors, who admit that the Hungarians learned from the Avars to treat the Slavic population as a bulwark on the frontier taking the first blow of the enemy, are presented in the text. Therefore, the first villages of Prekmurje inhabited by the Hungarian population are separated at least several kilometers. An important role in the history, culture and shaping the national consciousness of the Slovenian population of Prekmurje played Prekmurje dialect of the Slovak language. Prekmurščina has four dialects known as Pannonia or Prekmurje. They are considered the closest to the roots of the old common Slavic language.An interesting thesis, presented in the article, is an indication of the Hungarians as a stabilizing factor in the early medieval Central Europe. They split the Central European countries being on the ongoing war with each other.More than half of the article deals with reflections on complex, but completed with a positive solution procedures for separation Prekmurje from Hungary and joining it to Slovenia, which together with Croatia and Serbia formed a common state of southern Slavs.Tables showing the distribution and the number of the Hungarian population – after its annexation to the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes – remaining in Prekmurje as a national minority are published in the article. The author pointed to the need to refer to the history of the Middle Ages by historians of recent history, especially in the case of research dealing with the history of Hungary, where even distant historical eras serve to explain the present day. Прекмурье – отрыв от Венгрии и присоединение к Словении (1919‑1920)Проблематика представляемой статьи представляет собой продолжение размышлений ее автора, касающихся Центральной Европы в новейшей истории. Главное внимание в статье посвящается небольшому по площади и количеству жителей историко‑географическому краю Прекмурье. До Первой мировой войны принадлежал он к двум западным венгерским комитатам Вас и Зала и вместе с прилегающим к нему Порабьем называлось Вендвидек. Словянское население Прекмурья не было мадьяризировано, что в большой степени являлось результатом удерживающегося в Прекмурье и соседних странах культа Святых Кирилла и Мефодия. В сохранении словенской идентификации жителей Прекмурья большое значение отыграла роль словенского населения в системе охраны называемых „Gyepű” и „Őrseg”. В тексте приведены цитаты из публикаций венгерских авторов, которые не скрывают, что венгры от аваров научились относиться к славянскому населению как охранительному валу на границе, принимающего первые удары неприятеля. Поэтому первые местности Прекмурья, заселенные венгерским населением, отдалены от Муры по крайней мере на несколько километров. Важную роль в событиях, культуре и формировании национального самосознания словенского населения Прекмурья отыграл прекмурский диалект словацкого языка Прекмурский язык имеет 4 наречия, которые называются панонские или прекмурские. Они считаются наиболее близкими к корням общего старославянского языка.Выдвинута в статье интересная гипотеза, которая представляет Венгрию как территорию, которая была стабилизирующим фактором в раннесредневековой Европе. Разделяла она европейские государства в Центральной Европе, очень часто воевавшие между собой.Более половины статьи занимают размышления над трудными, но закончившимся успешно стараниями в вопросе отделения Прекмурья от Венгрии и присоединение его к Словении, которая вместе с Хорватией и Сербией образовали общее государство южных славян.В статье размещены таблицы, показывающие размещение и количество венгерского населения после его присоединения к Королевству Сербов, Хорватов, Словенцев – оставшегося в Прекмурье как национальное меньшинство. Автор указывает, что историкам, изучающим историю нового и новейшего времени, чтобы понять современность, необходимо обратиться к истории средневековья. Особенно важно это для исследователей истории Венгрии, где выяснению современности служат даже такие отдаленные периоды времени, как средневековье.
