Slavoj Žižek w swojej poświęconej filozofii Gilles’a Deleuze’a książce stawia sobie za cel wydobycie zawartych w teorii autora Logiki sensu napięć i sprzeczności. Žižek stawia tezę o współistnieniu w dziele Deleuze’a dwóchnurtów: zbliżonego do psychoanalizy Lacanowskiej nurtu tego, co niecielesne, oraz nurtu „witalistycznego”, opartego na utożsamieniu stawania się z tym, co produktywne. Logika sensu jest przykładem nurtu pierwszego – naznacza ją jednak, zdaniem Žižka, podstawowa trudność związana z niemożnością rozstrzygnięcia, czy to skutki/efekty/wydarzenia, czyli to, co wirtualne, wytwarzają ciała (to, co aktualne), czy wręcz przeciwnie, wydarzenia są produktem ciał. Niemożność rozwiązania tego problemu, połączona ze „złym wpływem” Guattariego, miała skłonić Deleuze’a w kolejnych pracach do rozwijania prostszej i mniej obiecującej ontologii witalistycznej. Na ile jednak taka interpretacja filozoficznych wyborów Deleuze’a jest trafna (i produktywna)? Czy nie stanowi raczej kolejnego przykładu redukcji wszelkiego materiału do Lacanowsko-Heglowskich kategorii, do jakiej przyzwyczaił nas Žižek?

In his book concerning the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze, Slavoj Žižek aims to expose its difficulties and contradictions. Žižek states that Deleuze’s philosophy is marked by the coexistence of two currents: one of the incorporeal, akin to Lacanian psychoanalysis, and on the other hand the ‘vitalist’ one, based on the identification of becoming with productivity. The Logic of Sense represent the former strand, although it is also marked with the fundamental difficulty consisting in the impossibility of deciding whether the effects/event (that is, the virtual) createbodies, or, on the contrary, events are the product of bodies. The failure to resolvethis paradox, combined with the influence of Guattari, was the reason why Deleuzetended to develop the simpler and less promising ‚vitalist’ ontology in his later works.But how accurate is Žižek’s insight here? Isn’t it another example of reducing everypossible material to the Hegelian-Lacanian framework?
