People who suffer from coeliac disease cannot receive Holy Communion under the species of bread.The article starts with explaining the characteristics and phenomenon of coeliac disease. Then it discusses the possibility of receiving Holy Communion by people with the condition. Finally, it raises the question of admitting persons with coeliac disease to the sacrament of Holy Orders.
