After the end of II World War Metropolitan Dionizy returned to Poland in April 1945. Just right after that he began organizing conditions for normal and stable activity of The Orthodox Church. The main problems he faced were among others the status of each parish, building the new structure of church administration that would suit the new territorial situation of the country, educating new priests, organizing the ministry for the followers in the new territories in the West and North of Poland. The communist government did not see the chance to cooperate with him. He was blamed for collaborating with Nazis and actions against Poland. He was arrested in 1948 and removed from power in the Orthodox Church. He was allowed to come back to Warsaw in may 1958. Metropolitan Dionizy never regained his position in the Church. He died in 1960.
