Abstracts
The aim of this article is to discuss from the political science perspective the nature of new phenomena generated by the processes of globalization, which escape the control of nationstates and international organization, and are neglected in the main public discourse and mainstream media. The set of these phenomena is called “shadow globalization” and is an attempt to grasp the dynamics of political, economical and social links between the rich and strongly institutionalized developed states and the marginalized areas of the third world. Bringing up these unique problems is important because they codetermine the course of many important political, economic and social events of the contemporary world.
