Abstracts
The article aims at the presentation of two main kinds of responsibility of executive authority: political and legal (constitutional) responsibility, existing on the ground of constitutional law, and it also shows similarities and differences between the same. In the article political responsibility was analyzed, that is borne for policy pursued and legal responsibility for breach of law. By comparing political and legal responsibility both common and differentiating features were shown, significant however is identifying them on the same levels. Among the similarities of both types of responsibility the following were considered: associations of historical nature, regulating by the standards of constitutional law, connection with governance systems, politicization, relationships of objective, subjective, procedural and organizational character. Functions, subjective and objective scope, procedures, consequences and sanctions were itemized as differences between political and legal responsibility
