The subject of the analysis in the article is the change concerning the limitation of the possibility of running for the mayor (mayor, president of the city) for two terms, introduced in the Electoral Code adopted by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland on January 11, 2018. The aim of the article is to refer to the various arguments cited for and against such a solution, mainly of a purely legal nature.

Przedmiotem analizy w artykule jest uchwalona przez Sejm RP 11 stycznia 2018 r. zmiana dotycząca kwestii ograniczenia możliwości kandydowania na wójta (burmistrza, prezydenta miasta) do dwóch kadencji, wprowadzona w Kodeksie wyborczym. Celem artykułu jest odniesienie się do przywoływanych różnych racji przemawiających za, jak i przeciwko m.in. takiemu rozwiązaniu, głównie natury czysto prawnej.
