This article presents the political consequences related to the introduction of majority electoral system in the elections to local government units, with the use of single-member constituencies and the simple majority formula, on the example of the Podlaskie Voivodeship. The simulation of the election results under the majority system was made on the basis of data from the 2018 and 2014 local government elections in the Podlaskie Voivodeship. The conclusions drawn from the analysis have been presented in the form of final conclusions and proposals for modifying the current electoral system in elections to the local government units.
Niniejszy artykuł prezentuje konsekwencje polityczne związane z wprowadzeniem w wyborach do organów kolegialnych j.s.t. większościowego systemu wyborczego, z zastosowaniem JOW-ów i przy użyciu formuły większości zwykłej, zaprezentowane na przykładzie województwa podlaskiego. Symulacji wyników wyborów przy systemie większościowym dokonano na podstawie danych z wyborów samorządowych z 2018 i 2014 r. w woj. podlaskim. Wnioski wyciągnięte z dokonanej analizy zostały zaprezentowane w formie końcowych konkluzji i propozycji modyfikacji aktualnego systemu wyborczego w wyborach do organów kolegialnych j.s.t.
