This paper is an analysis of the new principles of functioning of the OTC derivatives market in Poland. The main purpose of new regulation of the OTC derivatives market in Europe is to reduce risks and improve the transparency of derivative contracts. The main obligations are: central clearing for certain classes of OTC derivatives and reporting to trade repositories. CCP clearing houses clear OTC derivatives in order to mitigate the risk of counterparty default. This is crucial for the stability of the financial system.
