The centenary of the Polish-Bolshevik war was one of the important events that occurred after the First World War and was decisive in the process of saving the sovereignty of the new Polish State. However, the border fights in the east also meant their clash with the expansion of the revolution that the Bolsheviks sought, and which meant the salvation of Europe, in the Warsaw trench. The Spaniards were, in their time, witnesses of the events through the chronicles of Sofía Casanova, who intended to draw the attention of Spain to what was happening in Poland. However, the victory will bring the seed of violence that will erupt in World War II, with large secessionist minorities and powerful neighbors, such as the USSR and nationalist Germany, who will ambition the lands of the Polish plain.

Wojna polsko-bolszewicka była ważnym wydarzeniem po I wojnie światowej i kluczowym dla obronienia niepodległości młodego państwa polskiego. Jednakże walki graniczne na wschodzie oznaczały też walkę z ekspansją bolszewików i uratowały Europę przed wojskami rewolucyjnymi. Hiszpanie dowiadywali się o tych wydarzeniach z kronik Sofíi Casanovy, która chciała zwrócić uwagę rodaków na wydarzenia w Polsce. Zwycięstwo zasiało jednak ziarna konfliktu, który przerodził się w II wojnę światową, w której secesjonistyczne mniejszości i potężni sąsiedzi, tacy jak ZSRR i nacjonalistyczne Niemcy, sięgnęli po polskie ziemie.

El centenario de la guerra polaco-bolchevique fue uno de los hechos importantes que se dieron después de la Primera Guerra Mundial y fue determinante en el proceso de salvar la soberanía del nuevo Estado polaco. Sin embargo, las luchas fronterizas en el este también supusieron su choque con la expansión de la revolución que pretendían los bolcheviques, y que significó la salvación de Europa, en la trinchera de Varsovia. Los españoles fuimos, en su tiempo, testigos de los acontecimientos a través de las crónicas de Sofía Casanova, quien pretendía llamar la atención de España de lo que sucedía en Polonia. Sin embargo, la victoria traerá la semilla de la violencia que estallará en la Segunda Guerra Mundial, con grandes minorías secesionistas y con vecinos poderosos, como la URSS y la Alemania nacionalista, que ambicionarán las tierras del llano polaco.
