Die nachfolgende Bestandsaufnahme setzt sich zum Ziel, einen Überblick über die derzeitige Situation der Germanistik in Litauen zu geben. Da diese vor allem von der 2009 durchgeführten Studienreform geprägt ist, wird zunächst ein kursorischer Überblick über diese und die sich derzeit abzeichnenden Auswirkungen auf die litauische Hochschullandschaft gegeben. Auf dieser Basis wird die desolate Lage der Germanistik in Litauen dargestellt wie auch Ursachen aufgezeigt, warum derzeit noch nicht einmal 300 Studierende litauenweit Germanistik studieren. Dabei wird das Hauptaugenmerk auf die germanistischen Studienangebote gerichtet, weniger auf aktuelle Forschungen. Abschließend werden mögliche Auswege aufgezeigt, die sich insgesamt weniger als Patentrezepte denn als Anregungen zur Reflexion verstehen.

Niniejsza analiza ma na celu stworzenie zarysu obecnej sytuacji germanistyki na Litwie. Ponieważ ukształtowała ją przede wszystkim reforma studiów z 2009 roku, na początku zostanie przedstawiony pobieżny jej stan oraz wpływ na litewski obraz szkolnictwa wyższego. Na tej podstawie zostanie pokazana obecna sytuacja germanistyki na Litwie jak również przyczyny, dlaczego niespełna tylko trzystu studentów w całej Litwie studiuje germanistykę. Przy tym cała uwaga zostanie skupiona na ofertach studiowania germanistyki, a mniej na obecnych badaniach naukowych. Na zakończenie zostaną pokazane możliwe wyjścia, które należy ogólnie rozumieć bardziej jako impuls do refleksji niż jako sprawdzone rozwiązania.

The following survey is aimed at providing an overview of the current situation of German studies in Lithuania. Since the situation is mainly characterized by the academic reform in 2009, a cursory overview of the reform and the currently emerging impacts on the Lithuanian academic landscape is provided first. On this basis, the desperate situation of German studies in Lithuania is described as well as it is revealed why currently not even 300 students are enrolled in German studies all over Lithuania. The main attention is focused on the degree programs in German studies rather than on the current research. Finally, possible solutions are presented, which are intended as suggestions for reflection and not as a miracle cure.
