The article deals with the question of sacred images as established at the Council of Nice. Furthermore, it focuses on the lines and colours of a masterpiece by the Italian painter Taddeo di Bartolo.  In a special way the triptych shows the mystery of the Woman, the Theotokos. The awe-inspiring beauty emanating from the work draws attention to the Mystery depicted, and the language of the images helps creating an authentic spiritual journey.

Niniejszy artykuł dotyczy kwestii świętych obrazów, które zostały ustalone na Soborze Nicejskim. Ponadto koncentruje się na liniach i barwach arcydzieła autorstwa włoskiego malarza Taddea di Bartolo. Tryptyk ukazuje w sposób szczególny tajemnicę Kobiety, Theotokos. Zachwyt, jaki wzbudza piękno emanujące z dzieła zwraca uwagę na przedstawioną Tajemnicę, a język obrazów pomaga w stworzeniu autentycznej duchowej podróży.
