The article presents the structure and personnelcomposition of the collegiate chapter in Środa in the first half of the 18th century. This was one of the most prestigious ecclesiastical bodies in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. After a brief introduction showing the current state of research on the history and related sources, the following three parts shortly describe the beginnings of the chapter in Środa, the salaries, rights and obligations of prelates and canons. Moreover, the author discusses the issues related to the staffing of prebends, the accumulation of benefices, and the interpretation of archival sources.

Niniejszy artykuł poświęcono strukturze i składowi personalnemu kapituły kościoła kolegiackiego w Środzie w 1. poł. XVIII w., będącej swego czasu jedną z bardziej prestiżowych korporacji duchownych na terenie Rzeczypospolitej. Po krótkim wstępie ukazującym dotychczasowy stan badań oraz wykorzystane źródła, w trzech kolejnych częściach pokrótce opisano początki kapituły średzkiej, uposażenie oraz prawa i obowiązki prałatów i kanoników, a także kwestie związane m.in. z obsadą prebend, kumulacją beneficjów oraz analizą materiału.
