W pracy ukazano awanse i dorobek polskich romanistów w ostatnich trzech latach. Niestety jest on znacznie mniejszy niż w latach 2011-2013 (Cf. «Zeszyty Prawnicze» 15.2/2015). Opublikowano (nie licząc publikacji źródeł, prac zbiorowych i książek pióra historyków) tylko 15 monografi, czyli o połowę mniej niż w poprzednim 3-letnim okresie (30 monografi). Romaniści kieruję chętniej swe zainteresowania ku prawu karnemu i publicznemu, rzadziej zajmują się prawem prywatnym. Dalej młodsi polscy autorzy bardziej cenią przyczynkarskie pozycje z literatury zagranicznej niż powoływanie swoich kolegów. Należy jednak podkreślić wyjątkowe zainteresowanie tłumaczeniem, opracowywaniem i komentowaniem źródeł, zarówno prawniczych, jak i nieprawniczych, które są zawsze podstawą pracy historyków i romanistów.

This paper reviews the work done by Polish Romanist scholars and their academic progress in the last three years. Unfortunately their achievements have been far less than what they did in 2011-2013 (cf. «Zeszyty Prawnicze» 15.2/2015). Only 15 monographs were published in 2014-2016 (not counting source editions, collected volumes, and books by historians) – in other words half of what was published in the previous 3-year period (30 volumes). Polish Romanists prefer to focus on criminal and public law, and are not so eager to work on private law. Furthermore, the younger generation of Polish Romanists tend to appreciate foreign publications on marginal issues rather than refer to the work of their colleagues. However, there was an exceptional volume of interest in the translation and edition of source materials, both of the legal and non-legal type, along with commentary on them, which has always been at the foundation of the work of historians and Romanists.
