О некоторых особенностях перевода английских фразеологизмов на русский язык Резюме Авторы рассматривают фразеологизмы как часть национальной культуры, отражающей специфику мировосприятия народа, его быт, историю, верования. В статье рассмотрены некоторые особенности перевода английских фразеологизмов на русский язык, обусловленные их культурной специфичностью. Подчеркнута роль личности переводчика, показаны особенности перевода фразеологизмов, не имеющих аналогов в русском языке; проиллюстрирована вариативность перевода фразеологизмов в художественных текстах. Ключевые слова: фразеологизм, адекватный перевод, культура, менталитет, языковая картина мира   Some Features of English Idiom Translation into Russian Abstract The authors consider idioms as part of the national culture that reflects the specific worldview of the people, their mode of life, history, and beliefs. The article discusses some features and difficulties of translating English phraseological units into Russian, caused by their cultural specificity. The paper underlines the role of the translator’s personality in adequate idiom translation. The authors draw attention to the translation challenges of phraseological units that have no analogues in the Russian language. They show how the translation of idioms provided by different translators can differ in style and expressiveness.
