W niniejszym artykule naszkicowana została panorama studiów nad zagadnieniem choreografii teatralno-performatywnych widowisk jezuitów do XVIII w. W swej praktyce pedagogicznej zakon Societatis Jesu wypełniał powierzone mu zadanie nauczania europejskiej szlachty za pomocą najbardziej aktualnych i efektownych środków propagandy (do których niewątpliwie zaliczyć można multimedialność przekazu). Prymarny literaturoznawczy charakter badań został zatem uzupełniony perspektywą choreologiczną, co miało na celu prezentację idei korespondencji sztuk w świetle preferowanych przez jezuitów koncepcji realizacyjnych. Przyjmując za antropologami tańca tezę o traktowaniu ciała w ruchu jako artefaktu kulturowego – we wszystkich formach choreografii jezuickich (od procesyjnych ceremonii, uroczystości panegirycznych, przez pojedyncze wstawki taneczne przedstawień szkolnych, po samodzielne treściowo spektakle baletowe) – możemy dostrzec skuteczną formę społeczno ideologicznej komunikacji.

This article presents a panorama of studies on the issue of theatrical-performative choreography of Jesuit presentations till the 18th century. The Society of Jesus in its pedagogical practice fulfilled the task of teaching European nobility, using the most progressive and effective means of propaganda (which undoubtedly includes the multimedia type of message). The primary literary status of these research was thus provided with a choreological perspective, which was aimed at presenting the idea of the correspondence of arts in the light of the realization concepts preferred by the Jesuits. Following formed by the anthropologists of dance the thesis of treating the body in motion as a cultural artifact – in all forms of Jesuit choreography (from processional parades, panegyric ceremonies, through single somersaults at the school stage, to completely independent ballet performances), we can observe an effective form of socio-ideological communication.
