The bill aims to implement the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) on Audio-visual Media Services. The changes concern in particular the jurisdiction over media service providers, the competences of the National Council of Radio Broadcasting and Television or the rules for placing commercial communications in media services. The draft also provides for modifications of consumer protection regulations and an increase in the number of entities obliged to finance the activities of the Polish Film Institute.
