Poland’s Commitments to the Decarbonization of the Energy Sector

This article presents remarks concerning Poland’s commitments to the decarbonization of the energy sector, from the perspective of compliance with the obligations arising from EU law and the directions set out in the EU energy policy. Due to national circumstances, the implementation of the decarbonization target for the energy sector, despite the declarations made as part of the national energy policy, raises some doubts, and limit the effectiveness of implementation of the sustainable development principle.
