The main aim of the article is to present the characteristic of the NPD (New Product Development) projects taking into consideration pharmaceutical market specific and to indicate the factors that directly affects the failures and successes in those projects. A main scheme of NPD process was adopted as a starting point, with the characteristics of the pharmaceutical industry imposed on it. As a result of the above-described activity was created a summary of the key factors of success and failure at the level of individual projects stages in the pharmaceutical industry, the factors which increases the chances of successful completion of projects.

Głównym celem artykułu jest przedstawienie cech charakterystycznych dla branży farmaceutycznej w kontekście projektów wdrożeniowych nowych produktów leczniczych oraz wskazanie w procesie NPD (New Product Development) czynników, które bezpośrednio wpływają na porażki i sukcesy w tychże projektach z uwzględnieniem specyfiki samej branży. Za punkt wyjścia został przyjęty ogólny schemat procesu NPD, na który nałożono cechy charakterystyczne dla branży farmaceutycznej. W efekcie m.in. opisanego powyżej działania powstał schemat występowania kluczowych czynników sukcesów i niepowodzeń na poziomie poszczególnych etapów projektów w branży farmaceutycznej, których uwzględnienie zwiększa szanse na zakończenie projektów sukcesem.
