The article analyses the performance The Round staged in 2018 at the Centre for the Documentation of the Art of Tadeusz Kantor Cricoteka in Krakow. The author explains how the artists from the In Situ Project collective used the participatory tools not to engage the audience, but to explore the identity of the institution by its employees. She describes how odd theatrical actions in the museum building performed by the audience can change the perspective of the employees. The article shows how The Round could be read as a performance about public institution, its mission and responsibilities.
