The purpose of the study was to estimate the frequency of risk behaviors in adolescents and to find whether the expected stimulative value of such behaviors was related to engaging in them Participants were 139 secondary-school students, aged 17 to 19. Frequency of behaviors and expected stimulative value of behaviors were measured with modified version of the Adolsecent Resilience Questionnaire. The most frequent risk behaviors were drinking alcoholic beverages and careless behaviors like riding a bike without a helmet. Extreme sports were the behaviors evaluated as the most stimulative. Correlation analysis indicates that the more a given behavior was evaluated as exciting, the more frequently it was undertaken. Conclusions concerning prevention and health education programs were formulated.
