W niniejszym artykule Autorka omawia proces akcesji Republiki Chorwackiej do Sojuszu Północnoatlantyckiego. Dokonując opisu jego przebiegu wskazuje na najważniejsze jego etapy, konfrontując je z przeobrażeniami politycznymi w regionie oraz ewolucją poglądów państw europejskich na kwestię członkostwa Chorwacji w Pakcie. W konkluzjach wskazuje na możliwości kreowania polityki regionalnej, jakie uzyskał Zagrzeb. W jej ocenie za najważniejsze uznać należy współuczestnictwo w kreowaniu polityki euroatlantyckiej, ułatwienia w procesie akcesji do Unii Europejskiej oraz postępujący proces stabilizacji sytuacji w regionie, oparty w dużej mierze na wspólnych inicjatywach regionalnych i działaniach wskazanych przez Sojusz Północnoatlantycki.

In this article the writer discusses the process of the access of Croatia to the North Atlantic Treaty. The description includes its most important stages confronted with political transformations in the region and the evolution of the views of European countries on the issue of the Croatian membership in the Pact. In the conclusion the writer indicates the possibilities of creating a regional policy by Zagreb. According to her evaluation what is the most important is the coparticipation in the creation of the Euro-Atlantic policy, facilitations in the process of accessing the European Union and the ongoing process of stabilizing the situation in the region, based largely on joint regional initiatives and actions indicated by the North Atlantic Alliance.
