Autor omawia rolę Organizacji Współpracy Islamskiej w rozwiązywaniu konfliktów międzynarodowych na przykładzie konfliktu na Mindanao w Republice Filipin. W artykule przedstawiona zostanie istota organizacji i prowadzone przez nią działania na rzecz pokoju ze szczegółowym omówieniem tych działań, które odnoszą się do zagadnienia konfliktu na Mindanao. Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie współczesnej działalności na rzecz rozwiązywania konfliktów międzynarodowych związanych ze społecznością muzułmańską. W tekście autor odnosi się do stałego wsparcia udzielanego mniejszości muzułmańskiej przez państwa muzułmańskie, które są jednocześnie członkami OWI. O ile państwa te z reguły nie angażują się we wspólne przedsięwzięcia na dużą skalę, o tyle okazują wyjątkową solidarność w sytuacji, gdy łamane są prawa społeczności muzułmańskiej w innych państwach.

The author discusses the role of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in solving international conflicts on the example of the conflict on Mindanao in the Republic of Philippines. The article presents the essence of the organisation and its actions carried out in the name of peace with a detailed description of those which refer to the conflict on Mindanao. The aim of the article is to present the current activity for the sake of solving international conflicts connected with Muslim community. In the text the writer refers to the constant support given to the Muslim minority by Muslim states, which are also the members of the OIC. As much as those states do not get involved in joint undertakings on a big scale, they do show an extraordinary solidarity in the situation where the rights of Muslim community are broken in other countries.
