Bezpieczna strefa komfortu stanowi podstawę poczucia bezpieczeństwa i stabilizacji. Zapewnia człowiekowi optymalne warunki rozwoju, pozwalając mu na swobodę wyboru, usuwając bariery na drodze do sukcesu osobistego czy rozwoju. To stwierdzenie jest oczywiste i traktowane niemal jak dogmat. Jednocześnie jednak warto zwrócić uwagę na zjawisko paradoksu, które pojawia się w momencie, gdy brak wyzwań zmniejsza motywację do samorealizacji. Naturalna ambicja stymulowana jest poprzez stopniowe zdobywanie kolejnych progów. Izolacja, zaburzenie psychicznej i fizycznej strefy komfortu w czasie pandemii, wyzwoliła dwie odmienne reakcje. Pierwsza polega na biernej rezygnacji i wegetatywnym oczekiwaniu na zmianę przychodzącą z zewnątrz, druga natomiast na podjęciu aktywnego działania, mającego na celu zmierzenie się z sytuacją, podjęcie wyzwania, jakie ze sobą niesie.

A safe comfort zone is the basis for a sense of security and stability. It provides people with optimal conditions for development, ensuring them freedom of choice, removing barriers to personal success or development. This statement is self-evident and is almost treated as dogma. At the same time, however, it is worth paying attention to the phenomenon of paradox that appears when the lack of challenges reduces the motivation to self-fulfillment. Natural ambition is stimulated by the gradual achievement of new thresholds. Isolation, a disturbance of the mental and physical comfort zone during a pandemic, triggered two different reactions. The first consists in passive resignation and vegetative expectation of change coming from the outside, while the second is in taking active action aimed at facing the situation, taking up the challenge it brings.
