There have been three new accidental small finds of Roman aurei recorded in different regions of Poland. The oldest of the coins is an aureus of Antoninus Pius from the Międzyrzecz poviat (Lubuskie voivodship), which was dug up in November 2005. The other finds are a coin of Gordian III found near Kwidzyn (Pomorskie voivodship) in about 1995 and an aureus of Gallienus discovered near Kazimierza Wielka (Świętokrzyskie voivodship) in about 2002. All of the three presented aurei had been pierced.
