The article discussed books problems in social-cultural paper "Tęcza" published between 1927–1939 in Poznan´ by The St. Wojciech Bookshop and Printer. The author presents main form of book promotion in "Tęcza". The book was distributed by means of book advertising, new publishing review, book criticisms, premiums and prizes. There are a lot of examples of Polish and foreign titles. Editorial staff of the paper chose rather religious and social books. There are a lot of novels, stories, diaries, biographies, albums and travel books. "Tęcza" wanted a good book and conscious reader.
