Günter Grass’s visits in Poland and in Gdańsk after the war inspired his work a lot. Grass also got in touch with Polish writers. His first trip in 1958 was particularly significant as well as his work on the film talking about the reconstruction of Gdańsk in 1975. In the article the author writes about Grass’s friendships with Andrzej Wirth and Bolesław Fac as well as about the early reception of Grass in Poland.

Przyjaźnie literackie Güntera Grassa w Polsce – ich znaczenie dla jego wczesnej twórczości i jej polskiej recepcji Wizyty Güntera Grassa w Polsce i Gdańsku po wojnie przyniosły liczne inspiracje dla jego twórczości. Grass nawiązał również kontakty z polskimi pisarzami. Szczególnie znaczenia miała pierwsza podróż w 1958 r., a także praca nad filmem poświęconym odbudowie Gdańska w 1975 roku. W artykule omówione są przyjaźnie Grassa z Andrzejem Wirthem i Bolesławem Facem oraz wczesna polska recepcja jego twórczości.
