EN

The concept of cultural transfer arose on the French and German borderland in the 1980s. It emerged as a response to the need to verify the effectivity of the comparative method, dominant in the research of mutual cultural influences between France and Germany in the 20th century.  The starting point was the statement that the way how the Western cultures import and assimilate new and foreign contents was not considered as subject of scientific research properly. The concept of cultural transfer, little known in Poland, is situated among numerous approaches in contemporary humanities addressing multiculturality, interculturality and transculturality. Its use for the research of relations between the Polish and the German theatre is justified by the thesis that it developed on the German borderland as an offering allowing to study processes of cultural transformations coming about within the reception of new cultural elements and topics between two neighbouring countries. The proposed application of the concept of cultural transfer to the research on relations between the Polish and the German theatre is an experiment aiming at drawing attention to the changes in the theatrical contacts between both countries after 1990.

Zastosowanie koncepcji transferu kultury do badań niemiecko-polskich relacji teatralnych po 1990 roku  Koncepcja transferu kultury powstała na pograniczu niemiecko-francuskim w latach osiemdziesiątych XX w. Zrodziła ją potrzeba zweryfikowania efektywności metody porównawczej, dominującej w badaniach wzajemnych wpływów kulturowych między Francją i Niemcami w XX wieku. Punktem wyjścia stało się stwierdzenie, że sposób, w jaki zachodnie kultury importują i przyswajają nowe i obce im treści, nie został dotąd dostatecznie precyzyjnie wzięty pod uwagę jako przedmiot badań naukowych. Mało znana w Polsce koncepcja badania transferu kultury sytuuje się wśród wielu propozycji współczesnej humanistyki, podejmujących zagadnienia wielokulturowości, interkulturowości i transkulturowości. Zastosowanie tej koncepcji w badaniach relacji między teatrem polskim i teatrem niemieckim uzasadnia teza, że powstała ona na pograniczu niemieckim jako propozycja służąca badaniu procesów przemiany kultury, zachodzących pod wpływem recepcji nowych elementów i treści kultury między dwoma sąsiadującymi państwami. Zaproponowane tu wykorzystanie koncepcji transferu kultury w badaniach relacji między polskim i niemieckim teatrem jest eksperymentem mającym na celu zwrócenie uwagi na zmiany, jakie nastąpiły w kontaktach teatralnych między obydwoma krajami po roku 1990.
