Formulating refusals is not an easy task for every person. It results, to a great degree, from the fact that speech does not often cause too many consequences of social nature. It is also a problem in the dependency situations of an asymmetric character. In such situations authors of refusals often resort to ready-made high-frequency expressions. An example of a text genre in which such expressions are utilized is job application refusal letters. The subject of the analysis conducted in this article is refusal formulas and manners of forming job application refusal  letters. The corpus consists of 253  genuine German refusal letters collected between 2001 and 2012.

Gern hätten wir Ihnen einen positiven Bescheid erteilt! – Formuły i formy odmowne na przykładzie niemieckich listów odmownych na podania o pracę Formułowanie odpowiedzi odmownych nie jest łatwe, co wynika w znacznym stopniu z faktu, że mówienie nie pociąga za sobą często wiele skutków natury społecznej. Jest to również trudne w przypadku zależności o charakterze asymetrycznym. W takich sytuacjach autorzy odmów sięgają często po gotowe sformułowania o wysokiej frekwencji. Przykładem gatunku tekstu, w którym takie sformułowania są stosowane, są listy odmowne na podania o pracę. Przedmiotem analizy w niniejszym tekście są formuły odmowne i sposoby formułowania odpowiedzi odmownych na podania o pracę. Celem jest stworzenie typologii formuł odmownych w języku niemieckim. Korpus tworzą 253 autentyczne niemieckie listy odmowne zebrane w latach 2001–2012.
