It is not infrequent in business contacts that an adequate comprehension of your partner may prove a key success factor. Therefore, the axis of the article is the question: how cultural differences influence the course of business communication and how an interpreter or a translator may help overcome potential barriers arising from cultural context. In this article these barriers have been illustrated with certain real-life examples of common problems in German – Polish translation of business correspondence.

Komunikacja w przedsiębiorstwie w aspekcie międzykulturowym – trudności w tłumaczeniu z języka niemieckiego na język polski Właściwe zrozumienie intencji partnera biznesowego jest często jednym z czynników decydujących o sukcesie ekonomicznym przedsiębiorstwa. Dlatego w centrum zainteresowania niniejszego artykułu znalazła się kwestia wpływu różnic kulturowych na przebieg komunikacji w sferze gospodarki oraz rola tłumacza w pokonywaniu ewentualnych barier w tym zakresie. Bariery te zostały pokazane na przykładzie pewnych powtarzających się trudności w tłumaczeniu korespondencji biznesowej z języka niemieckiego na język polski.
