The article contains an analysis of lyrical images in the poem “Die Aschanti” by Rainer Maria Rilke and in three Polish translations. After the context of creation had been described, the poem was divided into scenes and some parts of translations were translated back to German with emphasis on reconstructing the lyrical images in translations. This allows to demonstrate some differences in the images and meaning of the poem and his translations. Apart from that some differences concerning sound effects and style are pointed out. In the end, the author compares emotions connoted by the texts.

O polskich tłumaczeniach „Die Aschanti” Rainera Marii Rilkego Artykuł obejmuje analizę obrazów lirycznych w wierszu „Die Aschanti” Rainera Marii Rilkego i trzech polskich przekładach. Po opisie kontekstu powstania utworu autor artykułu podzielił wiersz na sceny, a wybrane fragmenty jego trzech tłumaczeń przetłumaczył z powrotem na niemiecki z naciskiem na oddanie obrazów lirycznych tekstów. Ten zabieg pomógł unaocznić różnice w obrazowości i sensie oryginału i jego tłumaczeń. Ponadto można zaobserwować różnice w warstwie dźwiękowej i stylu tekstów. Na końcu autor porównuje uczucia, które te teksty konotują.
