Badania projektów foresightu regionalnego w Polsce oraz Europie wskazują na koncentrowanie się większości projektów na tematyce rozwoju priorytetowych technologii, pomijając lub traktując bardzo powierzchownie sektor usług. Po wprowadzeniu teoretycznym do problematyki foresightu regionalnego, autor przeprowadza analizę przypadku projektu foresightu regionalnego dotyczącego - kluczowego dla gospodarki regionu - sektora usług, jakim jest turystyka. Przedstawia genezę projektu, jego cele, przebieg, zastosowane metody oraz wyniki osiągnięte w regionie.

Research on regional foresight projects conducted in Poland and Europe indicates that the vast majority of projects have a strong focus on developing priority technologies whereas the services sector is either omitted or tackled superficially. The paper concentrates on the theoretical background to regional foresight and then presents a case study of a regional foresight project on tourism, a key sector for regional economy. The origins and objectives of the project are presented together with methodologies applied and overall results achieved in the region.
