This article presents one of the poetic texts which describes the Battle of Chocim of 1621 from Muslum Turkey. The author connected a few literary conventions such as epic, news, and popular. He briefly presented developments, though not all stages of the battle. Paszkowski chose some important moments and only a few heros: king’s son Władysław Waza, Polish commander Chodkiewicz, Baptista Weweli, and Turkish hero – Pasha Karakasz. Paszkowski wrote for contemporary people and built his relations from information, which was brought to him by other authors who wrote prose and memoirs. Paszkowski didn’t intend to give a detailed description of the incidents. He prepared a propaganda relationship for popular recipients.
