Innovations play an increasing role both in the enterprises' efforts to achieve lasting competitive advantages and in the economies' achievement of success and strong international position. The authors of the paper present the structure of innovations at the national, regional and local level as well as at the level of enterprises, and they use it further as a template for the assessment of innovations in two spheres: technological and social.

Innowacje odgrywają coraz większą rolę w budowaniu trwałej przewagi konkurencyjnej przedsiębiorstw, a także w osiąganiu sukcesu i pozycji międzynarodowej przez gospodarki. W niniejszej pracy zaprezentowano strukturę innowacji na poziomach narodowym, regionalnym, lokalnym i poziomie przedsiębiorstw. Zastosowano ją dalej jako wzorzec do oceny innowacji na dwóch płaszczyznach: technologicznej i społecznej.
