Artykuł poświęcono problematyce zdrowia i umieralności na świecie. Przedstawiono dane dotyczące oczekiwanej długości życia dla różnych grup ludności w poszczególnych krajach i wyjaśniono przyczyny dysproporcji między nimi. Opisano także systemy opieki zdrowotnej w niektórych regionach świata i wskazano drogę do ich poprawy.

This article is dedicated to the issues of health and mortality rates in the world. It presents data on life expectancy for different groups in different countries and explained the reasons for disparities between them. Article also describes the health systems in some regions of the world and pointed out the way to improve them.
