In the article the methodology for identifying innovative types and forms of employment of the population of Ukraine is developed, which consists of eight stages: conducting a research of employment in order to identify its innovative types and forms, identifying factors of influence on employment development; grouping factors that have the most significant impact on the development of innovative employment; allocating factors that determine the nature of employment and the characteristic features inherent in innovative employment; identifying and systematizing of criteria for assigning to innovative employment; develo- ping of methodological bases for creation of a complex system of indicators of innovative employment; analyzing the current situation in the labor market and forecasting its development in the short and long term for the timely identification of innovative types and forms of employment; providing prerequisites for the development of innovative employment; monitoring changes in forms and types of employment with a view to timely identification and support from the state and business.
