The paper is devoted to cultural determinants of foreign policies of contemporary states. The lack of religion in intercultural communication between West and Africa is one of the most important factor that should be taken into account when the problem of theirs relations is being considered. Mostly secularized West cannot realized the role religion plays in other parts of the world and use its power to introduce norms which are rejected by African nations and others. It could be seen in dispute over homosexuality and abortion in international institution, what is being considered in this work.
