Abstracts
According to Augustine - and here you can see influences of ancient phi- losophy - a man is by nature a social being. Alone can use the gift of speech, and thus build a space agreement, construct and principles of law, estab- lish standards. After all, they all should be subject to God. A social being, as man reaches its fullness only in the group. The guiding principle of human functioning in society is a virtue, and the virtue of justice. It is a guarantee of peace.
